Coating Condition Surveys
The first step of any maintenance program is typically a condition survey. Additional investigation into the causes of any premature failure or lack of performance of the existing coatings should also be considered. Unfortunately, many times this survey if carried out by inexperienced coating specialists, consists of a simple walk around to get a visual picture of what the structure looks like, rather than understanding how good or bad the structure is resisting the effects of corrosion and its preservation in future.
